                             2010 Spring Art Salon

                                             March 1 through April 30, 2010

This will be our 12th annual Spring Art Salon with poetry.  Poets who submit poems of 25 lines or less may have their poems selected by an artist as inspiration for an original artwork

The Spring Art Salon is scheduled for March 1 through April 30.  This juried competition is open to all artists residing in Nevada, Utah or Arizona, full or part time.  Artworks may be submitted without a poem.

We accept original two dimensional art not larger than 48X48, which must weigh less than 30 pounds, have a wire hanger and be suitably framed. All three dimensional art must weigh less than 100 pounds, have a base provided by the artist, when needed, and be able to fit through standard or double doors.

All artwork must be original and not violate U.S. copyright laws.  All work must be recent (LESS THAN TWO YEARS) and not shown in a previous VVAA event. The VVAA and the City Of Mesquite reserve the right to determine suitability regarding presentation, set and contextual appropriateness of the art.

Poems are limited to twenty five lines or less.  Artists select one poem for each artwork piece from the list held at the Gallery by signing their name next to the poem's title. No duplications of poems are allowed

The Awards Reception will be held in the Gallery on March 12th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.        

           All entries must be received at the Gallery during the week beginning   

                Tuesday February 23rd and no later than  Friday, February 25th.
