The Mesquite Fine Arts Center hosts a regular schedule of classes, one and two day workshops and activities at the Virgin Valley Artist Association's Art and Pottery Studio. Classes and workshops are open to visitors and residents of the Virgin Valley, at very reasonable prices.

Drawing
Beautiful art can be created with nothing but a piece of paper and a graphite or colored pencil. Taught by Bunny Wiseman on Monday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., this is an ongoing class with no need to sign up. Just show up at the Art and History Center Classroom Building at the Gallery.
Your first class includes all supplies. The fee is $10.00 per class.
Oil Painting
Learn to express yourself in oils with artist Bunny Wiseman on Tuesday's from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Art and History Center Classroom Building at the Gallery. This is an ongoing class and you may attend anytime. No need to sign up, just come with paints, brushes, easel and canvas.
The fee for all this instruction is $10.00 per class.
Beginning Pottery Throwing
Join Wendy Umberger in VVAA Studio Room #30 (Mesquite Campus) for this pottery class for beginners. The cost is $100.00 for eight - 3 hour sessions with clay and tools provided during class. Firing fees are additional.
Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Pottery Wheel for Teens
Join Wendy Umberger in VVAA Studio Room #30 for this pottery class designed especially for teens. The cost is $100.00 for eight - 3 hour sessions with all supplies included.
Classes are held Fridays and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Hand building Pottery
Taught by Marcia "Koko" Kokoczka on Tuesdays. There are 4 sessions and class size is limited to 9 students. Beginning and Intermediate instruction is held from 9:00 a.m. - noon, and Intermediate and Advance instruction is held from noon - 3:00 p.m. Koko has 17 years experience in designing and glazing clay creations.
The cost for 4 sessions is $40.00. Tools, supplies and firing fees are extra.

Beginning Watercolor
Join Char Lang in the Art Studio on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Char will cover basic techniques and materials with design and composition theory. The fee for each class is $40.00 per month with NO supplies and $50.00 per month with supplies provided.
Intermediate Watercolor
Join Char Lang in the Art Studio on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 am - 12:00 p.m. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Char will provide you with individual instruction and attention. There will be painting projects each week, with emphasis on design and composition. The fee for each class is $12.00.
Studio 31 is a spacious studio with top of the line kilns, wheels, slab roller, & extruder. The Student Supply Outlet (SSO) located next door has a huge selection of glazes, tools, and poured ceramics ready to be painted and fired.
Pottery classes for kids & adults are fun, creative, and small to ensure individual attention. The Virgin Valley Artists Association is a non-profit focused on bringing art programs to the Virgin Valley. Our relaxed and comfortable pottery studio offers something for everyone from beginner to expert potters. Classes are being taught in Handbuilding, throwing, glazing, and raku each week. Come be creative, social, and inspired...come have FUN!
