This is an Art Educational Summer Program, free of cost to students in the Mesquite area, ages 8 through 14 years (only). There are two sessions, and each session consists of two days per week (Thursday and Friday). Because class size is llimited, students may enroll in only one session. Classes are held from 1:30 pm to 3:45 pm. All materials and supplies are furnished. A snack is provided each day.
During each session the students are taught to explore and experiment with art concepts, color, shape, dimensional aspects, composition and texture. This is meant to be a learning experience, full of fun for students who are willing to develop art skills. We will not tolerate students who are not cooperative in class.
Our instructors are accomplished artists from the Virgin Valley Artists Association. Class size is limited to 18 students per session and students are limited to one session please.
Young Artist Summer Activities is hosted by the Virgin Valley Artists Association and supported by the City of Mesquite, Mesquite Resort Association, Roger Shively Foundation and local patrons of the ARTS. All sessions are held at the Mesquite Campus Art Studio Room #30, the old elementary school art room. Please see the map below.

In registering a youth you are responsible for bringing and picking him/her up from the Art Room, located in the Mesquite Campus. The Art Room has no phone available. A permission slip is required if there is a change to the above responsibility. If your child walks or rides a bike or bus please indicate this on the form.
